Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director of IT, your main responsibility will be to maintain, administer and upgrade the Delivery Agent office network Windows, Solaris, and Linux systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with all or many of the following:

    • 5-7 years Windows server administration (Windows Server 2003, Windows Storage Server 2003)
    • 5-7 years email server administration (Exchange 2003)
    • Ongoing Antivirus measures
    • Account management and group policy management
    • Office hardware setup in conjunction with Desktop staff (printers, FAX, file servers)
    • Office solution research and acquisition (recommendation and purchasing)
    • Windows desktop administration (Windows XP Pro)

Your secondary role will be providing support in a backup capacity to our rapidly expanding ecommerce systems. You will be the secondary (and occasionally primary) 24/7 response person. The ideal candidate will have experience with all or most of the following:

• 4-6 years UNIX administration (Solaris 10, CentOS 5 Linux)
• Medium-scale distributed eCommerce system administration in LAMP/SAMP environment (Linux/Solaris, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Hardware configuration, installation and maintenance (Sun, Dell, Cisco, F5, load balancers, routers, switches)
• Familiarity with cabling and stacking rack-mounted servers
• Open source component configuration (Apache, VSFTPD, etc), package management, compiling and maintenance
• Scripting of automated processes (any scripting language, preferably bash)
• Internet applications and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP, IMAPS, SSH, rsync)
• OS & network security (ACLs, packet filters, firewalls, system hardening, intrusion detection)
• Network design, debugging tools and procedures, monitoring (hardware and software)
• Must be able to lift over 40 lb
