OVERVIEW:
The Email Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive and effective marketing campaign. She/he plays an integral role in inspiring and converting customers to interact with the brand and make a purchase. In order to achieve this goal, the Email Coordinator's primary responsibility is to develop and produce targeted and relevant email campaigns that effectively merchandise product offerings.
This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with strong project management skills, high detail-orientation and excellent written and verbal communication. The individual must be highly organized, have the ability to multi-task, and think/work quickly and efficiently. Must be thoughtful about the consumer; understand the value of the customer relationship -- and the opportunities that the email channel affords as a one-on-one direct marketing channel.
He/she should have online marketing/merchandising experience, be an analytical thinker capable of understanding and taking action upon key performance metrics. Relationship-building and communication skills are also very important as the Email Marketing Coordinator will work closely with groups across the organization, including product, marketing, and technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- • Ensuring the development, production, testing and delivery of email campaigns by required deadlines.
• Work with Retention team and third party email vendor to identify and troubleshoot problems and identify enhancement opportunities.
• Providing positioning and merchandising direction to copywriters and designers for the email content and HTML template production
• Identifying opportunities to evolve the email strategy based upon prior campaign results and marketplace/industry trends
• Working across creative, operations and merchandising teams to continuously optimize and improve email templates, content and strategy
• Building dynamic content excel spreadsheets that provide customization and personalization to email campaigns
• Track and report email marketing metrics
• Manage and deploy email circulation and optimize deliverability.
• Coordinate with the database manager regarding circulation accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce results of various marketing initiatives and effectively communicate to various audiences (detail and executive level)
Requirements:
- • 4-year college degree from accredited institution. Emphasis in marketing, business or communications preferred.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized to execute complex marketing campaigns.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment, multi-task and participate in team-based planning process.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where last minute changes are critical to the program’s success.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively, solve problems and take initiative
• Ability to meet tight deadlines with full accountability for projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with limited information
• High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with HTML and applications such as YesMail, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and SQL is a plus.
• A minimum of one to three years job-related experience and working knowledge of e-commerce operational concepts.
